Cost of living and insurance

The FCA has issued a Dear CEO letter, covering its expectations on cost of living for those in the insurance sector. We encourage all firms advising on protection and/or GI to review. Click here to read.

In AMI’s view, brokers play an important role in helping customers look beyond price and to ensure a product is suitable based on the customer’s demands and needs. They are also well placed to help consumers understand the risk of underinsurance and the options available should they find themselves in financial difficulty.

AMI reminds firms that the adviser and consumer facing ‘Guide to saving protection policies’ (created by AMI, the PDG and the IPTF) is available to download and includes tips and ideas to help ensure customers maintain cover. Click here to access.
