The FCA has introduced multi-factor authentication on Connect, Reg Data, Fees Portal and Shared Intelligence Service (SIS) systems*. This is to strengthen log in and to further protect and control access to data.

*Multi-factor authentication won’t be introduced until March 2023 for the Electronic Submission System (ESS).

Users of these systems will be prompted to register and turn on multi-factor authentication each time they log in.

There are various authentication methods. The FCA has published a guidance page to help firms understand the process, including user guides and videos. Click here to access.

Firms that provide compliance services for other firms should speak to these firms to request they register you as a firm user on each system. You can then turn on multi-factor authentication when you log in.
