Notifying the FCA when an AR changes its name or goes out of business

Attention!

Firms are reminded that they must notify the FCA immediately if there is a change in status to any of their ARs.

Common examples are:

  • If the AR goes out of business, you must use a ‘Terminate AR’
  • If the AR changes its name, you must use a ‘Change AR’

FCA analysis of Companies House has shown that this is not always happening.
