Trading Standards consumer video on ‘how property listings are changing’

property listing

NTSELAT (or National Trading Standards Estate and Letting Agency Team) has released a video aimed at consumers to explain how property listings are changing, which brokers may find useful to share with clients.

The video sets out what information consumers should expect to see on a property advert, like rent or sale price, council tax band and tenure (i.e. freehold, leasehold, commonhold). This follows new guidance issued last year for estate agents on meeting their legal obligation to disclose ‘material information’ in property listings.
