2025 marks the sixth consecutive year of consumer (3,000 UK adults) and adviser research into the UK protection market. The report will take a comprehensive look at the past, present, and future of the protection landscape with a focus on consumer behaviour. Be the first to hear the key insights from this year’s report in the live launch event, open to the whole industry. Watch this space for information on how to register your space.
Mortgage Vision is back again for 2025, a free event in September for FCA registered mortgage advisers.
AMI will be in attendance as usual, with talks from our Chief Executive Stephanie Charman, Head of Policy Stacy Penn and Senior Policy Advisers Rachel Doy and Sabrina Grassler across the events.
There will be round table discussions and networking opportunities, along with talks from mortgage industry thought leaders. Attendees will be able to claim up to 3.75 CPD hours – and lunch is included!
Income Protection Action Week (IPAW) is an annual online event at the IPTF, created to highlight the importance of income protection. It’s designed for advisers and anyone working in the protection industry who’d like to refresh their knowledge or simply learn more about how income protection works and why it matters. Throughout the week, there will be a series of online sessions, from expert panels and real-life case studies to practical tools, all aimed at helping to start more meaningful conversations with clients about protecting their income in the face of illness or injury.
Sessions will run daily from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., and are totally free to attend – not only that, up to 5 hours of unstructured CPD are on offer for those who attend.
The Protection Review Dinner & Awards 2025 will be held on the 27th of November at The Landmark Hotel, London – entries and voting are now open!
New for this year is a category aimed at mortgage intermediary firms. ‘Best Mortgage & Protection Intermediary Award’ is for distribution firms where mortgages are the primary function but where protection plays an important part. Judges will be looking for entries that show a dedication to mortgage and other protection needs, including details of how they embed protection into the customer journey and advice process. Entries should include data on protection volumes, mortgage to protection penetration rates, fair value, breadth of product mix and insurer range (e.g. whole of market, restricted), quality metrics (e.g. NTU, CFO, lapse rates) and ongoing customer reviews.
The awards are judged on a combination of written entries, votes from across the industry and opinions of the judges. You don’t have to wait to be shortlisted before submitting your written entry and you can submit or vote at any time until the closing date of Friday the 29th of August.

We regularly hold breakfast meetings for Principals of our member firms. The aim is to discuss current market situations and the current and future challenges facing both the industry and regulator. Recent meetings have been focused on Consumer Duty.
These are an opportunity for you to ask questions and give feedback on any concerns or issues you may have. The meetings are held via Zoom and last for around an hour. They are free and open to all paid up AMI member firm principals, or a nominated member of their firm.
We will limit the number of members per session to enable contributions. Dates are communicated in advance to firm Principals via our newsflashes, so keep an eye on your inbox for your chance to participate.
